Free Time

This past month I had been working on assignments and extracurriculars every day, and felt immense stress- that is, until Friday, March 4th. That day, I took my last exam that I had before break and the relief I felt, after I left the despair-filled room of college kids that probably just did terribly on the exam, was delightful. After I treated myself to some delectable dining hall food, I sat in my room and was very confused.

“Now what.”
“What to do now?”
“How do I spend the rest of today when I’m already done for the week?”

With this taste of free time that I haven’t had in, what seemed like, longer than a month, I was digging for clues as to what my next activity would be. I’m disappointed in myself for using yesterday’s rewarding free time holed up in my room, and not doing something that I enjoy like singing, shopping, eating noodles, or anything other than being couped up in my room. However, every day that I wake up to is another blessing and opportunity to make it great. We have what seems like an infinite amount of time left to live, and I need to learn to take it day by day and not blame myself for taking a rest day 🙂

(side-note of what I did today in case you’re interested)

I started off my day calling my favorite person, which is beneficial because my heart feels full whenever I talk with my loved ones. Afterwards, I worked on a few things due before break, and I love using the Forest App where I set a timer, and for a certain amount of time, you cannot use your phone freely, and a tree will grow after your time is up. I also ate dining food with some new people today, which was also very fun!
