I was somewhat jealous of everyone moving out of my dorm the week before Summer classes began. The majority of my friends returned home, and the one dining hall I visited was closed. I missed my family and was homesick.
But, happily, Commencement Week arrived, and I was overjoyed to see individuals dressed in these long black gowns with caps. Seeing all of the families gathered to celebrate their Northeastern graduate makes me smile. Everyone dressed up in fancy attire and snapping photographs makes me so delighted!
I’m confident that by attending this Summer and following classes, I’ll be able to make my family proud.
