Circles

by Mac Miller

My absolute 10/10 favorite album of all time is Circles by Mac Miller. This album is sad, joyful, and comforting at the same time. Mac writes about his struggle with addiction, self-reflection, internal conflicts, and simply put, life. I can listen to this album no matter how I am feeling at the moment.

If I am too in my head, I put this album on to clear my head.
“Sometimes I get lonely
Not when I’m alone
But it’s more when I’m standin in crowds
That I’m feelin the most on my own
And I know that somebody knows me
I know somewhere there’s home
I’m startin to see that all I have to do is get up and go”
Surf.

When it’s a nice sunny day out, I’ll decide to go on a walk and listen to some music.
“Everybody’s gotta live
And everybody’s gonna die
Everybody just wanna have a good, good time
I think you know the reason why”
Everybody.
This makes me stop and appreciate the little things in life and also serves as a reminder that we are all on this Earth for a limited amount of time and to really enjoy it.

“Everybody keep rushing
Why aren’t we taking our time?
———————————————————
Don’t keep it all in your head
The only place that you know nobody ever can see”
Once a day.

A lot of his lyrics are up for personal interpretation which allows me to add whatever meaning I want to them. The biggest thing is finding comfort in listening to this album and knowing everything is ok. Highly recommend giving it a listen from beginning to end.
