Whenever I think of the biggest challenges for a third-year Northeastern student halfway into their Fall semester, I would say getting through midterms and trying to get their second co-op. I’m thrilled to tell everyone who reads this post that I have overcome these challenges with flying colors! Only two of my classes had midterms, both Discrete Structures (a computer science math class) and Intro to Sociology. Something about procrastinating and cramming all the material in the class the day before the midterm is effective for me. Adding on to the second challenge, I just accepted my second co-op at Goldman Sachs for product management in their private wealth division, which I am super excited about, though I will have to be apart from all my friends in Boston. Speaking from my experience in my first co-op, being in New York alone was grueling, especially when you’ve lived in New York your whole life. I was hoping to land a co-op in Boston or somewhere else than New York, but I can’t throw away this opportunity that can affect my career’s trajectory. The only challenges left to overcome this semester are to land a summer internship and just keeping up with my classes.
