During this month, I’ve been very appreciative of my heritage and look forward to celebrating through various activities. Last week, I was fortunate to spend a few days with my mother in Boston and it was a very wholesome experience to be able to show her my life in the city. We had dim sum in Chinatown, strolled around Boston Common, and visited Seaport! In addition to spending time with family, I plan on watching the film Everything Everywhere All at Once with some friends. I’ve heard many people explain to me how good the film was and even touching towards the ending. Even though I certainly do this outside of AAPI Heritage month, I also plan on enjoying yummy food and perhaps visit somewhere new like Gyu-Kaku or Coreanos in Allston. Lastly, even if my aforementioned plans do not come to fruition, I know my month will be well spent alongside many of my friends of AAPI heritage here at NEU!
