How to make the perfect chocolate chip cookies! These are brown butter cookies, which make a major difference in taste.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ sticks brown butter (3/4 cup)
  • ½ cup + 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • ½ cup + 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 ¼ cup flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup chocolate chips/chunks

Steps:

  1. Preheat oven to 350*F.
  2. On medium heat, brown your butter in a saucepan or pot. Wait until the butter melts and becomes brown, then allow it to cool to room temperature.
  3. While you are waiting for butter to cool, mix the brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg and vanilla.
  4. Once the butter cools, add it to the wet ingredient mix and whisk.
  5. Combine dry ingredients (flour, salt, baking soda).
  6. Fold in the wet and dry ingredients, and then add your chocolate chunks.
  7. Allow dough to chill in fridge for at least 30 minutes. Once chilled, roll out into balls and place onto a baking tray or over aluminum foil.
  8. Bake for 12 minutes, and allow 5 minutes to cool!
