How to make the perfect chocolate chip cookies! These are brown butter cookies, which make a major difference in taste.
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ sticks brown butter (3/4 cup)
- ½ cup + 2 tbsp brown sugar
- ½ cup + 3 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 ¼ cup flour
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 cup chocolate chips/chunks
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350*F.
- On medium heat, brown your butter in a saucepan or pot. Wait until the butter melts and becomes brown, then allow it to cool to room temperature.
- While you are waiting for butter to cool, mix the brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg and vanilla.
- Once the butter cools, add it to the wet ingredient mix and whisk.
- Combine dry ingredients (flour, salt, baking soda).
- Fold in the wet and dry ingredients, and then add your chocolate chunks.
- Allow dough to chill in fridge for at least 30 minutes. Once chilled, roll out into balls and place onto a baking tray or over aluminum foil.
- Bake for 12 minutes, and allow 5 minutes to cool!
