Always Grateful

I don’t think I ever take anything for granted. I acknowledge when I am given a certain privilege, and I take advantage of the opportunity because I value it. Because I didn’t have many resources or a “career network” growing up, I maximize what I can gain from the experiences/resources in college.

When I receive gifts from my friends, especially sentimental or homemade ones, I tend to hoard it all in my bedroom cabinets. Whether it be a random origami flower or a handwritten note card, I have them all safely tucked away since elementary school.

When I feel like I want to skip class, I think about the effort and costs it took for me to go to college. I think about how my parents would’ve wanted to go but couldn’t. It fuels my energy/motivation and improves my work ethic.

There is so much to appreciate! Sometimes, I don’t show it…but deep down I’m grateful.
