A Night in Asia Recap!

This past Saturday (October 2) was the ASU x VSA A Night in Asia event. It imitates a night market style where each PAAC organization prepares a game (some based on their respective culture) and people get a stamp on their stamp card after completing the game. Once they collect all the stamps, they can swap the card for food! This year, we had dimsum and tteokbokki (Korean spicy rice cake), which came after the performances.

Halfway through the event, there were performances by Northeastern students and Sundial! Before the event started, I got to talk to Jisu and Dorothy (the members of Sundial) and I had a really good time. They are class of 2018 from Berklee so Boston is a familiar place to them! (Though I will say I think Boston changed quite a bit, in terms of stores.) It was their first time having their act be part of an actual performance (their past experiences have been opening acts), so it was an honor for us to have them perform for this event! What’s more is that one of the songs they performed was actually a sneak peek of their newest song that’s coming out on October 8!

Overall, it was a great time, and people got to take pictures with Sundial and at the photoshoot area. The event was chill and it actually went really smoothly. It was a good opportunity for me to stop thinking about my exams coming up as I got to see a lot of old faces and even meet some eboard members from different organizations.
