A Most Curious Weekend

During the long weekend I had the chance to hangout with a friend who I haven’t seen in two years due to the pandemic. It was nice to check up and see what was going on in each other’s lives. It was a bit nostalgic because my friend is older than me and used to give me pointers about classes, right now he’s helping me with my heat transfer class, so it felt just as if I was an underclassman again.

Sunday I sort of vegetated at home, which is always nice after grinding engineering problems endlessly. Monday was a curious day. I woke up thinking that I wanted to go to the MFA and look at the new Egyptian artifacts that just came in. Then my older cousin asked if he and his girlfriend could tag along. What followed was quite the shopping spree at Newbury Street.

I don’t buy clothes often, but if I get in the mood, I can easily blow a hole in my wallet. After some frantic searching for clothing that I wanted and a couple hundred dollars down the drain, my appetite was finally satiated. It was fun to go with my cousin and his girlfriend because they told me about all their adventures either travelling to different places or eating different food wherever they went. It was also fun to try to expand my cousin’s wardrobe by making him different clothing, it’s hard to get him to be more stylish.

In the end it was definitely a weekend to remember, I look forward to taking my camera with me next time, if I can remember where I put it.
