A Day in the Life of Nina

Saturday is my favorite day of the week. It’s the day of the week that I try to sleep in a bit, and also try to get a good amount of stuff done and get outside to do something fun. I like to be productive or at least feel productive on Saturdays during the day, then towards the afternoon/night time I usually like to be with friends or just relax on my own and watch Netflix. Here’s what I did on last Saturday (yesterday):

I woke up around 11am. I made myself a nice bowl of yogurt with strawberries, granola, and peanut butter on top. Next, I got ready to go to the grocery store with my parents. We went to a Shoprite about 15 minutes from my house, but while my parents went in, I decided to treat myself to some coffee from Starbucks. I ordered a double shot of blonde espresso over ice in a grande cup with cream and 2 pumps of white chocolate mocha. So good and only like $3.50. After I got my coffee, I headed back to the grocery store and picked up a few things with my parents then left. After the grocery store, I drove us home and made a quick stop at one of my favorite places in my town. It’s this place with a view of the train and mountains. The parking lot was completely full and people were parking in the grass and on the side of the street which is really weird because I’ve never seen more than 5 cars there before. So, we didn’t get to park and see the complete view, but we drove by and stopped on the side of the road for some quick pictures (we’ll definitely go back within the next week and hopefully the trees will look even more colorful then). Here are some pictures I took:

When I got home, I decided to paint my nails because they’ve been looking pretty crusty ever since I took my acrylics off a few weeks ago. I painted them a light grey color, but it took me forever. It literally took me about two hours because I have such shaky hands and I kept messing it up. I did my right pinky nail like 4 times. It was really annoying, but it turned out decent enough to keep on. After I finished my nails, I planned on doing some homework, but then my nephew called to say he was coming over. I can’t do work while my nephew is over because he just begs me to play with him, and being the great aunt I am, I always play with him. We played Among Us and we played basketball for a few hours. He drives me crazy sometimes because of how bossy and dramatic he gets, but that’s just like how I was when I was younger so I can’t be mad. He gets so mad at me when I’m imposter and I kill him on Among Us, as if that’s not the point of the game. So annoying, but I probably would do the same thing when I was younger. Anyways, he stayed until 9pm, so I got no work done at all sadly. But, going grocery shopping and getting my nails done was already pretty productive for me.

Lastly, I went out with my friend for a late night drive. He picked me up around 10:30pm and we drove around this mountain and there were no cars so it was really chill. I absolutely love driving around at night with no one around and music playing, it is the best vibe ever. We ended up driving around 40 minutes away and we stopped to get sandwiches at a deli because there was nothing else open this late and apparently this deli was really good. I got a chicken cutlet sandwich with mozzarella and prosciutto. The sandwich I got was alright, but I kinda wish I got a different one because there was definitely better. I was just indecisive and picked a random one. We drove back home after we ate and I got home around 1am and just went to sleep.

That’s all! Have a great week y’all.
