Staying Positive

I’ve always been someone who thinks negatively of myself and just has a general lack of self confidence. Especially in situations like interviews, I always found myself doubting my abilities and thinking that there’s probably hundreds of people so much more qualified than I was. But, recently, I forced myself to change my mindset. I realized how draining and self-sabotaging that mindset was — I’d have so much anxiety going into interviews and just really struggled to convey myself and my experiences confidently. This second round of co-op search, I really turned my mindset around and told myself literally before every interview “I’m gonna smash this”. I even had a little sticky note on the wall with little words of encouragement, kinda cringe but honestly seeing that right before my interviews really helped me think more confidently of myself.
