Yesterday I went rug tufting at Tutuland in Allston for the very first time! I ended up making a very cute design of a cat in a dinosaur costume, though I’m a little bit sad at how the fine details didn’t really show up well. My advice for anyone looking to try rug tufting is to pick a very simplistic design with flat colors and to work hard to ensure that the “stitches” are close to each other so that you get a really nice plush rug. I would love to go tufting again but sadly it’s quite the expensive experience! We only had a booking for 3 hours but the owners were super nice and let us stay for 5, and open stayed open long past their closing time to help us. Definetely would recommend it!
