I’ve been getting more involved with traditional and digital art again now that I have the time, so I bought myself a new sketchbook from Blick today to hopefully encourage this newfound motivation. I’ve had sketchbooks in the past that completely buckled if I introduced art mediums beyond a mechanical pencil, so under the recommendation of some of my friends, I got myself a mixed media notebook-sized sketchbook. Going to a bunch of drawing meetings for my club over the past weekend have exposed me to really talented and hard-working artists of a variety of cool art styles, and it made me realize just how much I still have to learn and grow as an artist. Not to mention, seeing all of the cool stuff they are able to put out there has inspired me to strive harder towards being able to create amazing pieces like they do. It may seem intimidating at first, but I’m willing to at least try to put in the work starting now. 🙂
