Recently, I’ve been cooking more and trying some new things. It’s been a cool experience to have a kitchen as a second year because I don’t need to go to the dining hall anymore. When I go to buy groceries, I try to plan out what meals I’ll make. Often, bought vegetables are in bundles or packs enough for a week or two. Sometimes I do new things out of necessity. Last night, I made noodle soup in a pan when all of the pots had been used, and it was pretty interesting. I added too much water for the pan at first and after it boiled I ladled some out.
I like to follow sports, mainly hockey, baseball, and football. The MLB season is ending soon as my favorite team didn’t make it into the playoffs unfortunately, but they did win a lot more games than they did last year. The NHL season is starting soon, so I’ll spend some of my upcoming free time watching the Penguins.
I also like tinkering with websites. It’s probably related to being a CS major 😆. One of the assignments for my journalism class was to create a blog with WordPress. My professor also said that it didn’t have to be WordPress, so I created my own site. I’ve made it with 11ty.js and deployed with Vercel @ https://treesfrog.vercel.app. I think the design I set up is pretty clean!
