Mid-Midterm Season Greetings

Though the days blur together like wet ink against my left hand, I find that I tend to remember the good, fun parts over the stressful ones. For instance, this week I went to a club meeting with a friend and we painted old records! It was quite fun as I hadn’t painted or had a creative outlet in a while and we ended up painting matching records that had bubbles on them. Curious, I looked up what the song on my record was and I don’t know what I was expecting a song called “Tubby the Tuba” was going to sound like, but it surely wasn’t this. Now, do I remember my stressful midterm on Tuesday? *smooth brain, empty thoughts* Let’s move on.

Another fun activity I had this week was meeting my CSA minis! Funnily enough, three out of four of them are actually sophomores too so can I really call them my minis? We hung out at Cafe Bene and got some yummy treats– hot rec: I really recommend the Strawberry and Cheese Honey Cake at Cafe Bene; it is delectable and best shared with a friend because it is quite big. I was happy to meet new people who shared similar interests to me and am excited to see how our little family will bond in the future!

Eheu, bing bang boom now it’s Friday. After a lengthy week of academic mayhem and unnecessary stress from miscommunications, I’m looking forward to the weekend because my parents are coming to visit me! I plan on taking them to the Boston Common to enjoy the New England foliage and treating them to a nice, warm meal. After that, I must go back to the grind as I have another midterm next week, which is my last one of this hectic time.

Good luck to you all and have a nice weekend!
