gilford chronicles

With a minivan of Costco groceries and high morale, my friends and I set out on a fun, last minute trip to New Hampshire. What does one do out in an icy, lakeside cabin, you ask? Go skiing spontaneously, of course! Oh but none of us brought snow gear with us, you say? Go to Walmart and buy out their entire stock of size eighteen year old snowsuits from the kids section! But wait, only two out of eight of us know how to ski, you exclaim? Go to the bunny hill and simply pray you get the hang of “pizza-ing” and “french fry” to avoid headfirst collisions with tiny children. At this point, I think we’ve all earned the right to put “fast learner” on our resumes and have the data to back it up.

All in all, it was a super fun experience and I’ll definitely remember it for many years to come as my very first time skiing!! I’m really glad we were able to fit this little trip in and spend quality time with each other as silly little kids escaping from our job hunting doom…
