This semester already feels so different from last. Not only are the seasons different, but it feels like everyone is busier, me included. Where did my downtime from last semester go? Maybe it’s the fact that everyone is taking this semester a lot more seriously or that there is just more work to do. For me at least, I know that outside of class I’m spending hours a day working on my Fundies 2 homework with my partner and writing notes for my other classes. Then I also have a group assignment for my marketing class that I must find time to meet with.

Outside of classes, I also have work though work is more of a reprieve from all the other things I feel like I do. I use my time at the AAC to unwind and get some notes done in a noncommittal way, without the pressure of all my other assignments because well, I’m at work. I also love to attend sports games on campus and always try to make time to be there and support our teams for home games. It sometimes feels that there just aren’t enough hours in a day to do anything else, and it feels like everyone else is in the same boat.

If I have some free time, other people might not. If other people are free, I am busy. It’s a vicious cycle of schedules never matching up and only being able to see most people in passing. That or randomly at 1 am when out getting a late-night taco at El Jeffes. It makes me think that although I feel that I am managing my time and classes better this semester, there still needs to be a balance. I’m just not sure how to get there yet.
