After a long week of classes, I look forward to the best Friday of the year, February 11. It was my birthday and I’m turning 19. However, it was a different birthday this year. I’m in college this year and I’m not able to celebrate it with my parents for the first time in my life. Instead, I was able to celebrate it with other family members and my friends.
On Thursday night, my friends surprised me with a dinner and we counted down till the clock hit 12:00 am as I blew the candles on the chocolate cake. The very next day, I visited my friends at BC and we had a fun time too. On the third day, Saturday, I got to celebrate it with my grandma who lived in Quincy. She bought me my favorite fruit cake from a Chinese bakery that tasted amazing! This was for sure one of the special and more memorable birthdays ever.
