AASIA

Hello! I’m Jana (she/her) and I’m a third year studying Bioengineering and Biochemistry. On campus, I’m involved in AASIA (where I was first a mentee then a mentor) and also HKSA as their Family Chair. In my free time, you’ll probably find me reading, trying a new restaurant, building puzzles, thrifting, or going down a YouTube rabbit hole. Super excited to be AASIA co-chair this year!

What made you decide to be a Team 442 Member, and what are you the most excited for?

I’ve been a part of AASIA since my freshman year, and it was one of my first experiences with the Northeastern Asian American community. I loved my experience as I not only formed many long-lasting friendships, but was also able to grow in my own cultural identity. I decided to be AASIA co-chair to help create a similar community and provide the same sense of belonging that I had felt when I was in AASIA. I’m excited to build a cohort that can support others as they navigate their unique college experience, while also fostering a welcoming space where everyone feels comfortable learning, connecting, sharing, and growing. I look forward to working with Team 442 and can’t wait to see what AASIA will bring this year!
