Since the weather started to warm up last weekend, I decided to go out to Allstons and Chinatown. I went to my two favorite boba shops in Boston, TsaoCaa and Royal Tea. This is because TsaoCaa and Royal Tea offer cheese foam in their drinks and have many more topping options. Usually, I prefer fruit teas, slushes, and fruit yogurt drinks. TsaoCaa makes really good fruit slushes as they aren’t too sweet and they have really nice flavors. I usually order the mango fruit tea, which is slushed and comes with cheese foam which slowly melts into the drink. At Royal Tea, my favorite drink is jasmine milk tea with cheese foam and boba. I ordered the jasmine milk tea because it has the perfect level of sweetness and mixes really well with the cheese foam, and the boba in royal tea is extremely soft and warm.
At Chinatown, I went to Pho Pasteur, and I got the grilled sliced pork dish which was really good. It also came with veggies, like cucumbers which were refreshing on a hot day but I didn’t eat them.
The next day, I went to Allstons after a long day of moving. Since it was really hot outside, I wanted to eat Korean cold noodles. I went to a Korean restaurant and ordered cold noodles with a side of grilled pork belly. Afterward, I went to the Hong Kong supermarket to get groceries. I have never been there before so I was really shocked to see how big it was. Inside the supermarket, they had little restaurants and a dining area, kind of like a food court. The supermarket was super spacious and it was kind of empty which is more unfamiliar for Chinese supermarkets. At the supermarket, I got some matching bowls and cups because the designs were really cute and reminded me of the dining ware I had at home. Overall, I had a nice experience this weekend and I hope to visit more restaurants and stores in Boston before the summer ends.
