Barkada! Barkada is Northeastern’s Filipino club but we are NOT filipino exclusive! The term “Barkada” is a tagalog word that translates to “group of friends” and I think that is a great way to summarize who we are. We aim to build on our culture and learn more about it whether you’re native from Manila, grew up away from the culture in the US, or not Filipino at all! We want to spread the hospitality that the Philippines is so known for while also getting to know one another through our various events like dinners, general meetings, culture shows, conferences, and collab events with all the other awesome PAAC organizations! Join us for so many great memories AND delicious food!!!!!
What are you looking forward to this year in your role as PAAC rep?
Getting more involved! I was pretty involved my first year but I’m excited to keep branching out and finding things that interest me.
