Restaurant Review: Kaju Tofu House

This week during Care Day, my friend and I headed over to Allston for dinner. We were originally planning on going to our go-to restaurant, Mala, but unfortunately due to renovations they are currently not available for dine-in. We were pretty bummed out at first since we have ben craving for Mala for weeks. However, we soon decided to go to Kaju which was just a 3-minute walk from Mala. Kaju is known for their Korean tofu soup, and it was perfect for the chilly weather. Right when we got seated, we already knew what we were going to get. Both my friend and I order to the soup and pork belly combo. I got the kimchi and beef soup while my friend got the seafood soup, and we also ordered a seafood pancake for us to share. For the soup, you’re able to choose the level of spice. I got the medium spice level while my friend got mild. The food took about 10 minutes to come out which was pretty decent, and we also got a ton of side dishes. The combo has really big portions and both my friend and I didn’t get to finish. We both got to-go boxes for our leftovers. Overall, it was a great meal. The price is a bit expensive but it’s definitely worth it.
