My First and Last Stress-free Week

The last two weeks have been really rough for me, to the point where I got sick (it’s also probably from the flu shot but who knows). However, this week I am free of hectic practices, tests, and quizzes. It just really sucks that I’m sick this week, so I can’t enjoy this week to the fullest.

Speaking of sickness, my roommate got sick the next day, but on her own (I did not give it to her because we have different symptoms). (Also disclaimer: this paragraph will be my rant about the roommate). While I only had a stuffy and runny nose, she had a headache, sore throat + cough, and stuffy nose. Why I am so annoyed by her is because she does not cover her cough whatsoever, and I live in a triple, so it’s three beds in one room. I texted her nicely asking if she could cover her cough because there’s no air circulation. She said yeah but didn’t do it. SO. Despite the night being cold, I opened the window because I did not want to get more sick. I wish she was more considerate of our health.. and hers too—she literally stayed up till almost 3 am yelling and calling her friends when she should have been sleeping to recover faster. And guess what. Today, I woke up with my throat feeling uncomfortable, meaning I got it from my roommate. I am so mad. During lunch, I was basically forced to eat out and spend money because she didn’t sanitize the kitchen after using it and coughing all over the place. I really hope my throat doesn’t get worse the next day because I have so many things going on.

Anyways, besides the sickness, I think this week is going not terribly, except for the fact that I really want to quit the dance team I’m part of. I’m taking this week to destress and lay back a little before the grind starts again. Starting next week… I will be dying until the end of the semester. Winter break, please come faster.
