Lunar New Year Traditions

Nothing is more comforting to me than being surrounded by family over tables filled to the brim with all assortments of my favorite Lunar New Year delectables. However, my favorite tradition would undoubtedly be receiving red envelopes from relatives and friends. When I was younger this would be one of the few times a year I would receive money, and even a dollar meant the world to me back then. After receiving my red envelopes I would tuck them under my pillow. I was not allowed to open them until the whole duration of Lunar New Years had passed. Now that I am older, I am more careless when I receive my red envelope, but ever so grateful.
