Home Food 😋

If you guys have never had cheese-baked rice, you need to try it. Every time I go back home to Brooklyn, I always make a trip to HK Tea & Sushi on 86st to get a chicken steak or portuguese chicken baked rice and it is soooo good (best part it’s only 11 dollars for a really big portion). Then, I’ll get myself a Hong Kong milk tea and/or a french toast to go with it depending on who I’m eating with and how I’m feeling (it’s always so much food I can never finish an order myself).
But if any of you ever decide to make a trip to Hong Kong, my first meal with my family every time we touch down is always a satay beef ramen from Ngan Lung Restaurant. We’ll take a taxi from the airport and take a nap and then head out. Me and my sister usually get a satay beef ramen and then our mom would get macaroni soup and they would all come with toast, egg, and spam on the side (sooo yummy). Then to drink we would go with a hot HK milk tea, honey lemon tea, coffee (mother’s pick), or a yuenyeung (but the one with Horlicks and Ovaltine not coffee/tea). I am now very hungry and cannot wait until I am home so I can go eat good food.
