Disney Channel Song Ratings

It’s that time in the semester again where I am overwhelmed with a bunch of assignments from all of my classes which has created a humongous writer’s blog in my brain. Anyway, I am going to rate my top 10 Disney Channel Songs with my honest opinion. Some of the songs that I have put on this list may not be from Disney Channel, but the artist was a Disney actor.

10. It’s Goin’ Down (Descendents 2)

  • The rap part is good.

9. Calling All the Monsters (China Ann McClain)

  • AMAZING SONG
  • China did an amazing job in creating this amazing childhood bop
  • Works great as a Halloween song or when Trump gets yeeted out of office on January 20th.

8. Stick to the Status Quo (High School Musical)

  • This song resonates with me because I am tired of having society dictate what I am supposed to do and how I should behave. HSM did a good job in mocking this idea and shows that anyone can be anything that they imagined.
  • It’s at the bottom because I hate High School Musical

7. I Don’t Dance (High School Musical 2)

  • An iconic song from an iconic Disney Channel Original
  • The tension between Ryan and Chad during the music video really hit different today and probably awakened something in everybody 😜.

6. Like Me (Teen Beach Movie)

  • Maia Mitchell really popped in her part. She exhibited her strong independence in her identity and appearance and does not need a man to make her comfortable in her life.

5. Cruisin’ for a Bruisin’ (Teen Beach Movie)

  • Takes me to a place where stress doesn’t exist and you can party and chill all day long
  • Too bad my aesthetic is way different from a typical biker or surfer vibe

4. Watch Me (Shake It Up)

  • Zendaya and Bella Thorne popped off on this one.
  • To be honest, I do not remember much from Shake It Off, but this song has a nice beat and some cool dance moves in the music video.

3. She’s So Gone (Lemonade Mouth)

  • Listen to the song, you would understand why this song is a classic and why the two of the top 3 on my list are from Lemonade Mouth
  • A great song after a breakup (not like I have been in a relationship 😥)

2. Determinate (Lemonade Mouth)

  • An ICON
  • SLOW START TO AN AMAZING BEAT
  • Honestly, how can you not have a childhood if you’ve never heard about Determinate?

1. Hurricane (Bridget Mendler)

  • THE BEST DISNEY SONG
  • Good beat and great lyrics
  • Certified classic
  • Bridget Mendler went to MIT for graduate school after her acting career, like that’s very impressive!!
